Dynamic Dog Training

Dynamic Dog Training ebook coverAre you interested in positive methods of ways to teach your dog that are fun for you and the dog? The 111-page ebook Dynamic Dog Training: Perfect Partnership with Your Dog, by Silvia Kent, might be just the thing for you.

Silvia Kent's methods are based on her discoveries over fifteen years of dog training... that's not just fifteen years of doing the same old thing...! It's clear from her writing that she is always thinking!

She describes this ebook as covering "how to approach dog training in an elegant and structured way that makes the process very satisfying for both the owner and the dog, and will greatly enhance your relationship along the way."

As I read the ebook, I looked to see if the contents lived up to that promise. In my eyes, they did. This approach to dog training is based on a tremendous respect for every dog as an individual. Silvia Kent calls her methods "totally customized training for totally individual dogs."

I liked her comment that "the relationships we form with our companions are vastly more complicated and much more of a two way road of interaction than we were ever led to believe." For example, she describes how dogs read our body language with great skill.

I'm finding it difficult to write a review that isn't just quotes from the ebook, because as I look over the pages, there are so many things that make me enthusiastic!

She goes through the basics of dog training -- come, sit, stay, and more -- with details on how to teach them. There's a good section on how to train a dog to walk on a loose leash, even if the dog is already a serious puller. The complete Table of Contents is at the bottom of this page.

Silvia Kent doesn't use clicker training herself, or at least she says that it is beyond the scope of this ebook, but she recommends it and her methods are compatible with it. If you want something that inspires and motivates you, deepens your understanding of how dogs learn, and that you could incorporate with clicker training, then this is a fine choice.

Selections from reader's thank-you letters to Silvia Kent:

Dynamic Dog Training... is most informative as well as being reassuring and helpful.

After attending various training classes, it is such a joy to be given permission to be gentle and loving to one's dogs and not to feel obliged to bark out orders with the volume of a regimental Sergeant Major.

Thanks to your advice Toby is learning what he could have learned years ago if only we had had your wonderful book to guide us.

--Mrs SE Maitland

I have dozens and dozens of books on dog training, but you manage to describe things so clearly... I love your examples and the way you phrase things. I laughed out loud many times, especially the bit about the lead not being like a handle you use to lug a suitcase around!

--Regards, Mary (Mrs M Shepley)

I found Dynamic Dog Training very helpful. I found the techniques shown very effective and easy to follow. Even though the boys are five and six they soon picked it up, I'm teaching them things I never thought possible, I had tried other methods of training my Jack Russell and had all but given up, now however he never fails to amaze me! I highly recommend your training to everyone I meet and you can quote me on that!!

--Claire Butler

I have finally found something which not only makes sense and works, but feels good!
