Puppy Housebreaking / Potty Training is the first in the series of seven online training videos you get in the Dove Cresswell package.
Right near the beginning, it gives you a choice. Click on one side if you will be housebreaking a puppy of a toy breed, and on the other side if the puppy is of any other breeds. This interactive feature then leads you to the different recommendations she has for the two situations. She explains why she suggests a different method for toy breeds. This video would be excellent to watch with children, as it gives the overall sense of what is involved in housebreaking puppies, without a level of detail that could be too much. (If you crave a more thorough approach, see my review of an ebook with lots of potty training detail here.) I did have one quibble with the advice given. I would only correct a puppy who had made a mess in the house if I caught it in the act, and I would do it in a slightly different way than she describes. But different people have different approaches -- and she has trained far more puppies than I have! Because the video was made using still photos and text, I'm sure it would play well on any internet connection, anywhere in the world.
