My Flea Trap is an interesting and different way of dealing with fleas. Even one flea can cause a dog a lot of suffering, and my dogs have certainly had their share of hard times with fleas over the years. So when the makers of My Flea Trap offered to send me a review copy, I was pleased and thought I would review the product as soon as possible.It is a non-chemical device which works with 4 AA batteries or with an optional power supply. Are you training your dog something but running into problems with it? There can be a variety of reasons, and a variety of solutions for this common situation. Here I want to talk about one solution.
This came up this week, as I was emailing with a woman who recently adopted a rescue dog. The dog is wonderful in most ways but did come with some emotional baggage. For some reason, she gets frightened when her new person tells her, “Lay down.”

Here’s a dog training tip that we’ve done with every dog we’ve ever owned. Of course, they know the sit. Well, as we prepare their dinner plates — or breakfast plates for that matter — they can get rather excited.
So at one point or another in the process, whoever is doing the feeding asks the dogs to sit. LarryDog is almost 14 and sitting is getting a little harder for him on our tile floor, so we don’t usually ask himĀ till just before the food is going on the floor.
